قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي كِتَابِهِ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا وَرِثَ أَبَا طَالِبٍ عَقِيلٌ وَطَالِبٌ. وَلَمْ يَرِثْهُ عَلِيٌّ وَلا جَعْفَرٌ، قَالَ: فَلِذَلِكَ تَرَكْنَا نَصِيبَنَا مِنَ الشِّعْبِ. أَخْرَجَ الأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ، وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ وَعِمَارَةِ الأَرْضِينَ مِمَّا لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الرَّبِيعُ مِنَ الشَّافِعِيِّ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1347
Al-Shafi’i said in his book: Malik, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, told us about Ali bin Hussein, he said: He inherited only Abel Tal. He did not inherit from Ali or Jaafar, he said: Therefore, our share of the people has left us. He brought the first out of the letter of the letter, and the second from the book of food, drink, and the architecture of the two lands, which the Spring did not hear from the Rabbi.
