عَنْ أَبِی ھُرَیْرَۃَ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللہُ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ:((مَثَلُ الْمُنْفِقِ وَالْبَخِلِ کَمَثَلِ رَجُلَیْنِ عَلَیْھِمَا جُبْتَانِ أَوْ جُنّتَانِ مِنْ لَدُنْ ثَدْیَیْھِمَا إِلَی تَرَاقِیھِمَا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ الْمُنْفِقُ أَنْ یُنْفِقَ سَبَغَتْ عَلَیْہِ الدِّرْعُ أَوْ مَرَّتْ حَتَّی تُجِنَّ ثِبَابَہُ وَتَعْفُوَأَثَرَہُ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ الْبِخِیلُ أَنْ یُنْفِقَ قَلصَتْ وَلَزِ مَتْ کُلُّ حَلْقَۃِ مَوْضِعَھَا حَتَّی تَأُ خُذَ بِعُنُقِہِ أَوْ تَرْقُوَتِہِ فَھُوَ یُوَسِّعُھَا وَلا تَتَّسِعُ))۔
