إِنَّ أَبَا سَعِیدٍ الْخُدْرِیَّ قَالَ: کُنَّا نُخْرِجُ فِی زَمَان النَّبِیِّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعًامِنْ طَعَامٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ زَبِیبِ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِیرٍ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ نُخْرِجُہُ کَذَلِکَ حَتَّی قَدِمَ مُعَاوِیَۃُ حَاجَّا أَوْ مُعْتَمَرًا، فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَکَانَ فِیمَا کَلَّمَ النَّاسَ بِہِ أَنْ قَالَ:إِنّی أَرَی مُدَّیْنِ مِنْ سَمْرَاءِ الشَّامِ تَعْدِلُ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَأَخَذَ النَّاسُ بِذَلِکَ۔قَالَ الأَصَمُّ: وَإِنَّمَا أَخْرَجْتُ ھَذِہِ الأَخْبَارَ کُلَّھَا وَإِنْ کَانَتْ مُعَادَۃَ الأَسَانِیدِ،لأَنَھَا بِلَفْظٍ آخَرَ وَفِیھَا زِیَادَۃٌ وَنُقْصَانٌ
