عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِیہِ:أَنَّ رَسُولُ اللہُ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ زَکَاۃَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَی الْفِطْرِ عَلَی الْحُرِّ وَالْعَبَدِ، وَالزَّکَرِ وَالأُنَثَی مِمَّنْ تُمَوِّنُونَ

On the authority of Ja`far ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Abi :n: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, imposed zakat, breaking the fast, and breaking the line with one another.
