حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَسُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ خَيْرُکُمْ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ أَفْضَلُکُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ

It was narrated that ‘Uthmân bin ‘Affan said that the Messenger of Allah said: (According to one of the narrators) Shu’bah (he) said: ‘The best of you’ (and according to) SufyAn (he) said: “The most excellent of you is the one who learns the Qur’ân and teaches it.” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُکُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ

It was narrated that ‘Uthmân bin ‘Affân said: “The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: ‘The most excellent of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.’” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ نَبْهَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خِيَارُکُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ قَالَ وَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَقْعَدَنِي مَقْعَدِي هَذَا أُقْرِئُ

Mus’ab bin Sa’d narrated that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘The The best of you is one who learns the Qurân and teaches it.’”‘Then he Mus’ab) took me (the narrator) by the hand and made me sit here and I started to teach Quran.(Da’if)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَی الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ کَمَثَلِ الْأُتْرُجَّةِ طَعْمُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَرِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَمَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي لَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ کَمَثَلِ التَّمْرَةِ طَعْمُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَلَا رِيحَ لَهَا وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ کَمَثَلِ الرَّيْحَانَةِ رِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَطَعْمُهَا مُرٌّ وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ الَّذِي لَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ کَمَثَلِ الْحَنْظَلَةِ طَعْمُهَا مُرٌّ وَلَا رِيحَ لَهَا

It was narrated from Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari that the Prophet p.b.u.h said: “The likeness of the believer who recites the Qur’án is that of a citron, the taste and smell of which are good. The likeness of a believer who does not read the Qur’an is that of a date, the taste of which is good but it has no smell. The likeness of a hypocrite who reads the Qur’án is that of sweet basiL the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter. And the likeness of a hypocrite who does not read the Qur’an is that of a colocynth (bitter apple). the taste of which is bitter and it has no smell.’” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا بَکْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ أَبُو بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بُدَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنْ النَّاسِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ هُمْ أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: ‘Allah has His own people among mankind.’ They said: ‘0 Messenger of Allah, who are they?’ He said: ‘The people of the Qur’án, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.” (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ کَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنْ کَثِيرِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ وَحَفِظَهُ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَشَفَّعَهُ فِي عَشَرَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ کُلُّهُمْ قَدْ اسْتَوْجَبُوا النَّارَ

It was narrated that ‘Ali bin Abu Tâlib said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘Whoever reads the Qur’ân and memorizes it, Allah will admit him to Paradise and allow him to intercede for ten of his family members who all deserved to enter Hell.’” (Da’if)

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَوْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَائٍ مَوْلَی أَبِي أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَاقْرَئُوهُ وَارْقُدُوا فَإِنَّ مَثَلَ الْقُرْآنِ وَمَنْ تَعَلَّمَهُ فَقَامَ بِهِ کَمَثَلِ جِرَابٍ مَحْشُوٍّ مِسْکًا يَفُوحُ رِيحُهُ کُلَّ مَکَانٍ وَمَثَلُ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَهُ فَرَقَدَ وَهُوَ فِي جَوْفِهِ کَمَثَلِ جِرَابٍ أُوکِيَ عَلَی مِسْکٍ

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘Learn the Qur’ân, recite it and go to bed, for the eness of the Qur’an and the one ‘ho learns it and acts upon it is of a sack filled with musk, hich spreads its fragrance everywhere. And the likeness of one who learns it then goes to bed with it in his heart is that of a sack that is tied up from which no fragrance comes out.” (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْحَارِثِ لَقِيَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بِعُسْفَانَ وَکَانَ عُمَرُ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَی مَکَّةَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مَنْ اسْتَخْلَفْتَ عَلَی أَهْلِ الْوَادِي قَالَ اسْتَخْلَفْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ ابْنَ أَبْزَی قَالَ وَمَنْ ابْنُ أَبْزَی قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ مَوَالِينَا قَالَ عُمَرُ فَاسْتَخْلَفْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَوْلًی قَالَ إِنَّهُ قَارِئٌ لِکِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَی عَالِمٌ بِالْفَرَائِضِ قَاضٍ قَالَ عُمَرُ أَمَا إِنَّ نَبِيَّکُمْ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْفَعُ بِهَذَا الْکِتَابِ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ بِهِ آخَرِينَ

It was narrated that Nâfi’ bin ‘Abdul-Hârith met ‘Umar bin Khattab in ‘Usfân, when ‘Umar had appointed him as his governor in Makkah. ‘Umar asked; “Whom have you appointed as your deputy over the people of the valley?” He said: “I have appointed lbn Abza over them.”‘Umar said: “Who is lbn Abza?” Nâfi’ said: “One of our freed slaves.”‘Umar said: “Have you appointed a freed slave over them?” Nâfi’ said: “He has great knowledge of the Book of Allah, is well versed in the rules of inheritance (Farâid) and is a (good) judge.” ‘Umar said: “Did not your Prophet P.B.U.H say: ‘Allah raises some people (in status) because of this Book and brings others low because of it?’“(Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ غَالِبٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبَحْرَانِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ لَأَنْ تَغْدُوَ فَتَعَلَّمَ آيَةً مِنْ کِتَابِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَکَ مِنْ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مِائَةَ رَکْعَةٍ وَلَأَنْ تَغْدُوَ فَتَعَلَّمَ بَابًا مِنْ الْعِلْمِ عُمِلَ بِهِ أَوْ لَمْ يُعْمَلْ خَيْرٌ لَکَ مِنْ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ أَلْفَ رَکْعَةٍ

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said to me: ‘0 Abu Dharrl For you to come out in the morning and learn one Verse from the Book of Allah is better for you than praying one hundred Rak’ah, and for you to come out and learn a matter of knowledge, whether it is acted upon or not, is better for you than praying one thousand Rak’ah.” (Da’if)
