حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَتَی النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ کَبِيرٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ الْحَجَّ وَلَا الْعُمْرَةَ وَلَا الظَّعْنَ قَالَ حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيکَ وَاعْتَمِرْ

It was narrated from Abu Razin AI-'Uqaili that he came to the Prophet P.B.U.H and said: "0 Messenger of Allah, my father is an old man and he cannot perform Hajj or 'Umrah, and he is not able to ride the mount (due to old age)." He said: "Perform Hajj and 'Umrah on behalf of your father." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ عَنْ حَکِيمِ بْنِ حَکِيمِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ جَائَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ کَبِيرٌ قَدْ أَفْنَدَ وَأَدْرَکَتْهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَی عِبَادِهِ فِي الْحَجِّ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَدَائَهَا فَهَلْ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ أَنْ أُؤَدِّيَهَا عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعَمْ

It was narrated from ‘Abdullâh bin ‘Abbâs that a woman from Khath’am came to the Prophet and said: “0 Messenger of Allah, my father is an old man who has become weak, and now the command of Allah has come for His slaves to perform Hajj, but he cannot do it. Will it discharge his duty if I perform it on his behalf?” The Messenger of Allah said: “Yes.” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ کُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي أَدْرَکَهُ الْحَجُّ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَحُجَّ إِلَّا مُعْتَرِضًا فَصَمَتَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيکَ

It was narrated that Ibn ‘AbbaS said: Husain bin ‘Awf told me: I said: “0 Messenger of Allah, the con-gnand for Hall has come but my father cannot perform Hajj Unless he is tied to a saddle.” Some time passed, then he said: Perform Hajj on behalf of your father.” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْفَضْلِ أَنَّهُ کَانَ رِدْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ النَّحْرِ فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَی عِبَادِهِ أَدْرَکَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا کَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَرْکَبَ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ کَانَ عَلَی أَبِيکِ دَيْنٌ قَضَيْتِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that his brother Fadl was riding behind the Messenger of Allah in the morning of the day of sacrifice (i.e., the 10the of Dhul-Hijjah), when a woman from Khath'am came and said: "0 Messenger of Allah, the command of Allah has come for His slaves to perform Hajj, but my father isan old man and cannot ride. May I perform Hajj on his behalf?" He said: "Yes, because if your father owed a debt you would pay it off." (Sahih)
