حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ اشْتَکَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَعُودُونَهُ فَصَلَّی النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسًا فَصَلَّوْا بِصَلَاتِهِ قِيَامًا فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ اجْلِسُوا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا رَکَعَ فَارْکَعُوا وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا وَإِذَا صَلَّی جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW fell ill and some of his Companions came to visit him. The Messenger of Allah SAW performed prayer while sitting down, and they prayed behind him standing up. He gestured them to sit down, and when he finished he said: 'The Imam is appointed to be followed. When he bows, then bow; when he stands up again, then stand up, and if he prays sitting down then pray sitting down.'''(Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُرِعَ عَنْ فَرَسٍ فَجُحِشَ شِقُّهُ الْأَيْمَنُ فَدَخَلْنَا نَعُودُهُ وَحَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلَّی بِنَا قَاعِدًا وَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَائَهُ قُعُودًا فَلَمَّا قَضَی الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا کَبَّرَ فَکَبِّرُوا وَإِذَا رَکَعَ فَارْکَعُوا وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا وَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَاسْجُدُوا وَإِذَا صَلَّی قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا أَجْمَعِينَ

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet SAW fell from his horse and he suffered some lacerations on his right side. We went to visit him and the time for prayer came, He led us in prayer sitting down, and we prayed behind him sitting down. When he finished the prayer he said: "The Imam is appointed to be followed. When he says Allahu Akbar, then say Allahu Akbar; when he bows, then bow; when he says Sami' Allahu liman hamidah, then say Rabbana wa lakal-hamd; when he prostrates then prostrate; and if he prays sitting down then pray sitting down."(Sahih).

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW said: 'The Imam is appointed to be followed. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ اشْتَکَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَائَهُ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ وَأَبُو بَکْرٍ يُکَبِّرُ يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ تَکْبِيرَهُ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا فَرَآنَا قِيَامًا فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَعَدْنَا فَصَلَّيْنَا بِصَلَاتِهِ قُعُودًا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنْ کِدْتُمْ أَنْ تَفْعَلُوا فِعْلَ فَارِسَ وَالرُّومِ يَقُومُونَ عَلَی مُلُوکِهِمْ وَهُمْ قُعُودٌ فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا ائْتَمُّوا بِأَئِمَّتِکُمْ إِنْ صَلَّی قَائِمًا فَصَلُّوا قِيَامًا وَإِنْ صَلَّی قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا

It was narrated that Jabir said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW fell ill, and we prayed behind him while he was sitting down, and Abu Bakr was saying the Takbir so that the people couId hear them. He turned to us and saw us standing, so he gestured to us to sit down. When he had said the Salam, he said: 'You were about to do the action of the Persians and Romans, who remain standing while their kings are seated. Do not do that. Follow the lead of your Imam; if he prays standing, then pray standing, and if he prays sitting down, then pray sitting down.'''(Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَحَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِکٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ سَعْدِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي يَا أَبَتِ إِنَّکَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ هَاهُنَا بِالْکُوفَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ خَمْسِ سِنِينَ فَکَانُوا يَقْنُتُونَ فِي الْفَجْرِ فَقَالَ أَيْ بُنَيَّ مُحْدَثٌ

Sa'd bin Tariq said: "I said to my father: 'O my father! You prayed behind the Messenger of Allah SAW and behind Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman, and behind Ali here in Kufah for about five years. Did they recite Qunut in Fajr?' He said: 'O my son! That is an innovation.'" (Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ بَکْرٍ الضَّبِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْلَی زُنْبُورٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ نُهِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقُنُوتِ فِي الْفَجْرِ

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW was forbidden to recite Qunut in Fajr."(Maudu’).

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَقْنُتُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يَدْعُو عَلَی حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَائِ الْعَرَبِ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ تَرَکَ

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah SAW used to recite Qunut in The Subh prayer, and he used to supplicate in it against one of the Arab tribes for a month, then he stopped doing so. (Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا رَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ وَعَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ بِمَکَّةَ اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَکَ عَلَی مُضَرَ وَاجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سِنِينَ کَسِنِي يُوسُفَ

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "When the Messenger of Allah SAW raised his head from Ruku' in the Subh prayer, he said: 'O Allah, save Al-Walid bin Walid, Salamah bin Hisham and 'Ayyash bin Abu Rabi'ah, and the oppressed in Makkah. O Allah, tighten your grip on Mudar, and send them years of famine like the famine of Yusuf." (Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ أَبِي کَثِيرٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ جَوْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ الْعَقْرَبِ وَالْحَيَّةِ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet SAW commanded killing the two black ones during prayer; the scorpion and the snake. (Sahih).

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَکِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الدَّهَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَکَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ لَدَغَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَقْرَبٌ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْعَقْرَبَ مَا تَدَعُ الْمُصَلِّيَ وَغَيْرَ الْمُصَلِّي اقْتُلُوهَا فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Prophet SAW was stung by a scorpion while he was performing prayer, and he said: 'May Allah curse the scorpion, for it does not spare anyone, whether he is praying or not. Kill them whether you are in Ihram or not.''' In AI-Hill (outside the sacred precincts of Makkah) or Al-hararn (the sacred precincts of Makkah). (Hasan).

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ حَدَّثَنَا مِنْدَلٌ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَتَلَ عَقْرَبًا وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

It was narrated from Ibn Abu Rafi', from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet SAW killed a scorpion while he was praying. (Da'if).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ صَلَاتَيْنِ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّی تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّی تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah SAW forbade two prayers: prayer after the Fajr until the sun has risen, and prayer after 'Asr until the sun has set. (Sahih).
