حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ذَلِكَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ فِي الْهَدْيِ وَالضَّحَايَا

Naafi' narrated that Ibn 'Umar used to say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "No one among you should eat from his udhiyah for more than three days”.When the sun set on the third day, 'Abdullah would no longer eat from the meat of his sacrificial animal.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْمُحْرِمِ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ يَقْطَعُهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn Umar narrate that the Messenger of Allah said concerning the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram): "If he cannot find sandals, let him wear khuffayn (leather slippers) and let him cut them so that they come tower than the ankles.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُصَلِّي حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ وَيَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah ibn Dinar said: I saw Ibn 'Umar pray (naafil) atop his mount no matter what direction it was facing, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to do that.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا نَادَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا تَرَى فِي هَذَا الضَّبِّ فَقَالَ لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ

It was narrated from Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn Umar say: A Bedouin called out to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) Vhat do you say about this lizard (meat)? He said: "I do not eat it but I do not prohibit it."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا إِذَا بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ يُلَقِّنُنَا هُوَ فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ

It was narrated from 'Alxlullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: When we swore allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) with the pledge to hear and obey, he would add: "As much as you are able to."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) defined the miqaat of the people of Madeenah as Dhu’l-Hulayfah; that of the people of Najd as Qarn; and that of the people of Shaam (Syria) as al-Juhfah. And 'Abdullah said: They said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "And for the people of Yemen, (their miqat) is Yalamlam."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَرْزُقُنَا التَّمْرَ قَالَ وَقَدْ كَانَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَئِذٍ جَهْدٌ فَكُنَّا نَأْكُلُ فَيَمُرُّ عَلَيْنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَنَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ فَيَقُولُ لَا تُقَارِنُوا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْإِقْرَانِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ لَا أَرَى فِي الِاسْتِئْذَانِ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْكَلِمَةَ مِنْ كَلَامِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

It was narrated that Jabalah ibn Suhaym said: Ibn al-Zubayr used to provide us with dates, as the people had been stricken with hardship at that time. We were eating and Ibn 'Umar passed by us when we were eating and said: Do not eat two together, for the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade eating two together, unless a man asks his brother for permission, Shu'bah said: I think that these words about asking permission are the words of Ibn 'Umar.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُلْتَمِسًا فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

It was narrated from Jabalah ibn Suhaym: I heard Ibn Umar narrating that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Whoever wants to seek it (Laylat al-Qadr), let him seek it in the last ten (nights)."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبًا مِنْ ثِيَابِهِ مَخِيلَةً فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

It was narrated that Jabalah ibn Suhaym said: I heard Ibn 'Umar narrate from the Prophet 0 that he said: "The one who lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَبَلَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَطَبَّقَ أَصَابِعَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَكَسَرَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ الْإِبْهَامَ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ

It was narrated from Jabalah: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The month is like this," and he clapped his hands twice, then tucked away his thumb cm the third time, meaning: twenty-nine (days).

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ شَقِيقٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْوَتْرِ قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ أَنَا وَذَاكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَالْوَتْرُ رَكْعَةٌ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ لَمْ يَقُلْ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that a man asked the prophet (PBUH) about Witr. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: The night prayers are two (rak'ahs) by two, and Witr is one Rak’ah." Shu'bah said: He did not Say,” at the end of the night."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَقَامَ بِجَمْعٍ قَالَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ وَأَذَّنَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَنَعَ بِنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ مِثْلَ هَذَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ صَنَعَ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ مِثْلَ هَذَا

It was narrated from al-Hakam that he saw Sa'eed ibn Jubayr give the iqaamah in Muzdalifah. He said: And i think he also gave the adhaan. He gave the adhaan and prayed Maghrib with three (rak'ahs), then he said the tasleem, then he prayed 'isha' with two rak'ahs, then he said: Ibn 'Umar did the same thing with us in this place, and Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did the same thing with us in this place.
