حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ بِمَاءٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ سَرِفُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمَّا قَضَى نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَّهُ أَقْبَلَ حَتَّى كَانَ بِذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ أَعْرَسَ بِهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that he did not see anything wrong with a man getting married whilst in ihram , and he said: The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) married Maimoonah bint al- Harith at an oasis called Sarif when he was in ihram. When the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) completed his Hajj, when he came to that oasis, he consummated his marriage with her.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ شَهِدَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ ثُمَّ أَتَى النِّسَاءَ فَأَمَرَهُنَّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَجَعَلْنَ يُلْقِينَ

It was narrated from 'Ata' that he testified that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) (said), and Ibn 'Abbas testified that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prayed on the day of Eid, then he delivered the khutbah. Then he went to the women and enjoined them to give charity, and they started throwing [their jewellery, to Bilal].

قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ صَائِمًا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was treated with cupping when he was fasting.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الَّذِي يَأْتِي امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِدِينَارٍ أَوْ نِصْفِ دِينَارٍ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) from the Prophet that he said concerning the man who had intercourse with his wife when she was menstruating: "Let him give a dinar, or half a dinar, in charity’'.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) from the Prophet (PBUH) that he said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven and not to tuck up my hair or garment."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَوْ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ إِذَا أَتَى امْرَأَتَهُ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنِي ثُمَّ كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَدٌ إِلَّا لَمْ يُسَلَّطْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانُ أَوْ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "If one of you - or, if one of them - says, when he has intercourse with his wife, 'In the Name of Allah, O Allah keep the Shaitan away from me and keep the Shaitan away from what You bestow on us (our children)’ if a child is bom to them, the Shaitan will never have power over him - or the Shaitan will never be able to harm him."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ وَعَطَاءٍ وَمُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَهَانَا عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَنَا نَافِعًا وَأَمْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرٌ لَنَا مِمَّا نَهَانَا عَنْهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيَذَرْهَا أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِطَاوُسٍ وَكَانَ يَرَى أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ مِنْ أَعْلَمِهِمْ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ أَنْ يَمْنَحَهَا أَخَاهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يَجْمَعُ هَؤُلَاءِ طَاوُسًا وَعَطَاءً وَمُجَاهِدًا وَكَانَ الَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْهُ مُجَاهِدٌ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ كَأَنَّهُ صَاحِبُ الْحَدِيثِ

Rafi' bin Khadeej said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came out to us and told us not to do some- thing that was beneficial for us, and the command of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is better for us than that which he told us not to do. He said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or leave it, or lend it to someone else to cultivate for free." He said: I mentioned that to Tawoos, and he thought that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) was one of the most knowledgeable of them. He said: Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) only said, "Whoever has land, lending it to his brother for free is better for him."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَاوُسًا قَالَ سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى قَالَ فَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قُرْبَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَجِلْتَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَطْنٌ مِنْ بُطُونِ قُرَيْشٍ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ فِيهِمْ قَرَابَةٌ فَقَالَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَصِلُوا مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ مِنْ الْقَرَابَةِ

It was narrated that'Abdul- Malik bin Maisarah said: I heard Tawoos say: Ibn 'Abbas (RAJ was asked about this verse: "Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee therefor, save loving kindness among kinsfolk" [ash- Shoora 42:23]. He said: Sa'eed bin Jubair said: It means loving kindness towards the family of Muhammad. Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: You have been too hasty (in interpreting it)! There was no clan among Quraish but the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was connected to it by ties of blood. He said: (What it means is) except that you uphold the ties of kinship between you and me.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بِشْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَوَقَعَ مِنْ نَاقَتِهِ فَأَوْقَصَتْهُ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُغْسَلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَأَنْ يُكَفَّنَ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَقَالَ لَا تَمَسُّوهُ بِطِيبٍ خَارِجَ رَأْسِهِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ خَارِجَ رَأْسِهِ أَوْ وَجْهِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّدًا

Shu'bah said: I heard Abu Bishr narrate that he heard Sa'eed bin Jubair say that he heard Ibn 'Abbas (RA) narrate that a man came to the Prophet (PBUH) when he was in ihrarn, and he fell from his mount, and immediately died. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) instructed that he be washed with water and lotus leaves, and shrouded in two pieces of cloth. And he said: “Do not apply perfume to him, and leave his head uncovered - Shu'bah said: Then after that he told me that he said: Leave his head or his face uncovered - for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection with his hair stuck together [with a sticky substance, as was the custom of pilgrims at that time]."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ وَأَنَا مَخْتُونٌ وَقَدْ قَرَأْتُ الْمُحْكَمَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي بِشْرٍ مَا الْمُحْكَمُ قَالَ الْمُفَصَّلُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of AUah (PBUH) died when I was ten years old and had recently been circumcised, and I had read al- Muhkam of the Qur'an. i [the narrator) said to Abu Bishr: What is al-Muhkam? He said: al-Mufassal.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَنِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that he came to the Prophet (PBUH) when he was praying; I stood on his left, and he took hold of me and made me stand on hisright.

قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَائِرَاتِ الْقُبُورِ وَالْمُتَّخِذِينَ عَلَيْهَا الْمَسَاجِدَ وَالسُّرُجَق

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) cursed women who visit graves and those who set up places of worship and lamps over them.
