حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا جعفر بن سليمان الضبعي عن مالک بن دينار قال مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلی الله عليه وسلم مِنْ خُبْزٍ قَط وَلَحم إِلاَّ عَلی ضفَفَ قال مالک بن دينار سألت رجلا من أهل البادية ما الضفف فقال أن يتناول مع الناس

Maalik bin Dinaar RA. says: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam never filled his stomach with meat and bread, except at the time of dafaf. I asked a badawi. 'What does dafaf mean?' He replied: 'It is to eat together with people".
