حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلی الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ حَمْرَائُ کَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَی بَرِيقِ سَاقَيْهِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أُرَاهَا حِبَرَةً

شمائل المحمدية / شمائل ترمزی · Hadith 59

Abu Juhayfah (R.A) says, "I saw Rasulullah (S.A.W) wearing a pair of red (coloured) clothing. The lusture of the feet of Rasulullah (S.A.W) is still befor me." Sufyaan (R.A) who is a norrator of this hadith says: "According to my understanding the pair (of clothing) was printed red."
