عَنْ عَائِشَۃَ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْھَا، قَالَتْ: أَصَابَ النَّاسَ سَنَۃٌ شَدِیدَۃٌ عَلَی رَسُولِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرَّ بِھِمْ یَھُودِیٌ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا وَاللہِ لَوْ شَاءَ صَاحِبُکُمْ لَمُطِرْتُمْ مَا شِئتُمْ وَلَکِنَّہُ لا یُحِبُّ ذَلِکَ، فَأُ خْبِرَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَوْلِ الْیَھُودِیِّ ، فَقَالَ:((أَوَ قَالَ ذَلِکَ؟)) قَالُوا: نَعَمْ ، قَالَ:((إِنّی لأَ سْتَنْصِرْ باِلسَّنَّۃِ عَلَی أَھْلٍ نَجْدٍ، وَإِنّی لأَرَی السَّحَابَ خَارَجَۃً مَنَ الْعیْنِ فأَکْرَ ھُمَا، مَوْعِدُکُمْ یَوْمَ کَذَا أَسْتَسقِی لَکُمْ))۔ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا کَانَ ذَلِکَ الْیَوْمُ غَدَالنَّاسُ فَمَا تَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ فَمَا تَفَرَّقَ حَتَّی أُمْطِرُوامَا شَاءُوا۔ قَالَ: فَمَا أَقْلَعَتِ السَّمَاءُجُمُعَۃً
