عَنْ عُبَیْدِ اللہِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللہِ : أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّیْثِیَّ مَاذَا کَانَ یَقْرَأُبِہِ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فِی صَلاۃِ الأَضْحَی وَالْفِطْرِ؟ فَقَالَ: کَانَ یَقْرَأُبِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِیدِ ، وَاقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَۃُ ۔ أَخْرَجَ الأَوَّلَ مِنْ کِتَابِ الْعِیدَیْنِ، وَالثَّانِیَ فِی کِتَابِ اخْتِلافِ مَالِکٍ وَالشَّافِعِیِّ۔

Obeid bin Abdul Allہ Allہ: Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Abu Allہ Anہ Waked Laithi What was یqrobہ Messenger Allہ peace Allہ Alیہ him in Slaۃ Eid al-Fitr and? He said: He was reciting the glorious Qur’an and the hour approaching. Take the first out of the book of Eid, and the second in the book of the difference of Malik and Al-Shafi’i.
