عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ : أَنَّہُ أَخْبَرَھُمْ أَنَّہُ بَاتَ عِنْدَ مَیْمُونَۃَ زَوْجِ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہَا وَھِیَ خَالَتُہُ ، قَالَ : فَاضْطَجَعْتُ فِی عَرْضِ الْوِسَادَۃِ ، فَاضْطَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَھْلُہُ فِی طُولِھَا ، فَنَامَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّی إِذَا انْتَصَفَ اللَّیْلُ أَوْ قَبْلَہُ بِقَلِیْلٍ ، أَوْ بَعْدَہُ بِقْلِیلٍ اسْتَیْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَلَسَ یَمْسَحُ وَجْھَہُ بِیَدِہِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَالْعَشْرَ الآ یَاتِ الْخَوَاتِمَ مِنْ سُورَۃِ آلِ عِمْرَانَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَی شَنَّ مُعَلَّقٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُو ءَ ہُ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ یُصَلِّی ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : فَقُمْتُ فَصَنَعْتُ مِثْلَمَا صَنَعَ ثُمَّ قُمْتُ إِلَی جَنْبِہِ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ یَدَہُ الْیُمْنَی عَلَی رَأْسِی ، وَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِی الْیُمْنَی یَفْتِلُھَا ،فَصَلَّی رَکْعَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ رَکْعَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ رَکْعَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ رَکْعَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ رَکْعَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ أَوْ تَرَ ، ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ حَتَّی جَاءَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَقَامَ فَصَلَّی رَکْعَتَیْنِ خَفِیفَتَیْنِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّی الصُّبْحَ۔
