عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ک رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ : أَنَّہُ کَانَ لا یَسْجُدُ فِی ص ، وَیَقُولُ : إِنَّمَا ھِیَ تَوْبَۃُ نَبِیُّ ۔ أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِیثَیْنِ مِنْ کِتَابِ اخْتِلافِ الْحَدِیثِ وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ کِتَابِ اخْتِلافِ عَلِیُّ وَعَبْدِ اللہِ مِمَّالَمْ یَسْمَعِ الرَّابِیعُ مِنَ الشَّافِعِیِّ۔

On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him: that he did not prostrate in the PBUH, and he says: It is the repentance of a prophet.
