حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی بْنِ فَارِسٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ ابْنُ يَحْيَی کَتَبْتُهُ مِنْ کِتَابِهِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ کَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَی رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَرَی اللَّيْلَةَ فَذَکَرَ رُؤْيَا فَعَبَّرَهَا أَبُو بَکْرٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَبْتَ بَعْضًا وَأَخْطَأْتَ بَعْضًا فَقَالَ أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْکَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ لَتُحَدِّثَنِّي مَا الَّذِي أَخْطَأْتُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُقْسِمْ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 3268
Narrated Ibn Abbas: Abu Hurairah narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I had a dream last night, and he then mentioned it. So Abu Bakr interpreted it. The Prophet ﷺ said: You are partly right and partly wrong. He then said: I adjure you, Messenger of Allah, may my father be sacrificed on you, do tell me the mistake I have committed. The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not adjure.
