عَنْ عَائِشَۃَ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہَا ، قَالَتْ : صَلَّی رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فِی بَیْتِی وَھُوَ شَاکٍ، فَصَلَّی جَالِسَا ، وَصَلَّی خَلْفَہُ قَوْمٌ قِیَامًا ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَیْھِمْ أَنِ اجْلِسُوا ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ :(( إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِیُؤْتَمَّ بِہِ ، فَإِذَا رَکَعَ فَارْکَعُوا ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا ، وَإِذَا صَلَّی جَالِسًا ، فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا ))۔
