أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَکِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَتَبَاهَی النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِذِکْرُ أَيُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ أَوَّلًا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 693
It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “One of the portents of the Hour will be that people will show off in building Masjids.”(Sahih)
