أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّائِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ مَالِکِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِصَاحِبٍ لِي إِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَأَذِّنَا ثُمَّ أَقِيمَا ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّکُمَا أَحَدُکُمَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 673
It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwayrith said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said to me and to a companion of mine: ‘When the time for prayer comes, let the two of you call the Adhan then the two of you say the Iqamah, then let the older of you lead the prayer.” (Sahih).
