عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ ، قَالَ: کُنْتُ أَعْرِفُ انْقَضَاءَ صَلاۃِ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالتَّکْبِیرِ ۔ قَالَ : عَمْرُو بْنُ دِینَارٍ: ثُمَّ ذَکَرْتُہُ لأَبِی مَعْبَدٍ بَعْدُ ، فَقَالَ: لَمْ أُحَدِّثْکُہُ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: حَدَّثَنْتِیہِ، قَالَ: وَکَانَ مِنْ أَصْدَقِ مَوَالِی ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ۔ قَالَ الشَّافِعِیُّ: کَأَنَّہُ نَسِیَہُ بَعْدَ مَا حَدَّثَہُ إِیَّاہُ۔
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 266
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, he said: I knew the expiration of the prayer of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, with disbelief. He said: Amr ibn Dinar: Then I mentioned to my father after a temple, so he said: I did not talk to you. Amr said: Hadan said: Al-Shafi’i said: It is as if he forgot him after he spoke to him.
