حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَی عَنْ الْحَکَمِ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ کُهَيْلٍ أَنَّهُمَا سَأَلَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَی عَنْ التَّيَمُّمِ فَقَالَ أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّارًا أَنْ يَفْعَلَ هَکَذَا وَضَرَبَ بِيَدَيْهِ إِلَی الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ نَفَضَهُمَا وَمَسَحَ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ قَالَ الْحَکَمُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَقَالَ سَلَمَةُ وَمِرْفَقَيْهِ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 570
It was narrated from Hakam and Salamah bin Kuhail that they asked 'Abdullah bin Abi Awfa about dry ablution. He said: "The Prophet commanded 'Ammar to do like this;" and he struck the ground with his palms, shook the dust off and wiped his face.
