حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَکْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وَلَبِسَ خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ أَحْدَثَ وُضُوئًا أَنْ يَمْسَحَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 556
It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, that the Prophet granted a concession to travelers: "If a traveler performed ablution and put on leather socks, then he performed a fresh ablution, he could wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights; the resident could do so for one day and one night.”
