حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ کَثِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَائُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ جَائَ رَجُلٌ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ جِئْتُ أُبَايِعُکَ عَلَی الْهِجْرَةِ وَتَرَکْتُ أَبَوَيَّ يَبْکِيَانِ فَقَالَ ارْجِعْ عَلَيْهِمَا فَأَضْحِکْهُمَا کَمَا أَبْکَيْتَهُمَا
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 2528
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I came to you to take the oath of allegiance to you on emigration, and I left my parents weeping. He (the Prophet) said: Return to them and make them laugh as you made them weep.
