حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَيِّتُ الْقَبْرَ مُثِّلَتْ الشَّمْسُ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَيَجْلِسُ يَمْسَحُ عَيْنَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ دَعُونِي أُصَلِّي

ابن ماجہ · Hadith 4272

It was narrated from Jabir that the Prophet P.B.U.H said: "When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is made to appear as if it is setting. He sits up, wipes his eyes and says: 'Let me pray." (Sahih)
