حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ إِلَّا تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْکُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَ مَا کَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَی قَوْلِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ نَسَخَتْهَا الْآيَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَمَا کَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا کَافَّةً
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 2505
Ibn Abbas said “The Quranic verse “Unless you go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and the verse “It is not fitting for the people of Madina”. . . up to “that Allaah might required their deed with the best (possible reward) have been repealed by the verse. Nor should the believers all go forth together. ”
