حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ وَأَبُو عَمْرٍو حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ أَنَّهُ کَانَ جَالِسًا إِلَی جَنْبِهِ ابْنُ أَخٍ لَهُ فَخَذَفَ فَنَهَاهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا لَا تَصِيدُ صَيْدًا وَلَا تَنْکِي عَدُوًّا وَإِنَّهَا تَکْسِرُ السِّنَّ وَتَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ قَالَ فَعَادَ ابْنُ أَخِيهِ فَخَذَفَ فَقَالَ أُحَدِّثُکَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْهَا ثُمَّ عُدْتَ تَخْذِفُ لَا أُکَلِّمُکَ أَبَدًا
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 17
It was narrated from Sa’eed bin Jubair that ‘Abdullâh bin Mughaffal was sitting beside a nephew of his; the nephew hurled a pebble and he told him not to do that, and he said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H had forbidden that. He (the Prophet) said: ‘It cannot be used for hunting and it cannot harm an enemy, but it may break a tooth or put an eye out.” He said: “His nephew hurled another pebble and he (‘Abdullâh bin Mughaffal) said: ‘I tell you that the Messenger of Allah forbade that (and you go and hurl another pebble)? I will never speak to you again.’” (Sahih)
