حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَی عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَزِيدُ فِي الْعُمْرِ إِلَّا الْبِرُّ وَلَا يَرُدُّ الْقَدَرَ إِلَّا الدُّعَائُ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحْرَمُ الرِّزْقَ بِالذَّنْبِ يُصِيبُهُ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 4022
It was narrated from Thawbân that the Messenger of Allah said: “Nothing increases one’s life span except righteous and nothing repels the Divine decree except supplication, a man may be deprived of provision by a sin that he commits.'' (Da`if)
