حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ إِذَا أَوَی إِلَی فِرَاشِهِ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ يَعْنِي الْيُمْنَی تَحْتَ خَدِّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَکَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ أَوْ تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَکَ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3877
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah that whenever the Prophet(saw) went to his bed, he Would put his hand- meaning his right hand- beneath his cheek then say: “Allahumma qini ‘adhbaka yawm tab’athu- [or: tajma’ul- ‘ibadaka (O Allah, save me from Your punishment on the Day when You resurrect- or gather- Your slaves).” (Sahih)
