حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَزَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ حَدَّثَنَا سَفِينَةُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَضَافَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَصَنَعَ لَهُ طَعَامًا فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ لَوْ دَعَوْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَکَلَ مَعَنَا فَدَعَوْهُ فَجَائَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَی عِضَادَتَيْ الْبَابِ فَرَأَی قِرَامًا فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ فَرَجَعَ فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ لِعَلِيٍّ الْحَقْ فَقُلْ لَهُ مَا رَجَعَکَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي أَنْ أَدْخُلَ بَيْتًا مُزَوَّقًا
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3360
Safinah, Abu ‘Abdur-Rehman, narrated that a man visited ‘Ali bin Abu Tâlib and he made some food for him. Fãtimah said: ‘Why don’t we invite the prophet to eat with us?” So they thvi him and he came. Pie put his hand on the dooQo5t of the house and saw a tiun curtain in the corner of the house, so he went back. Fâtimah said to ‘All: “Go and catch up with him, and ask him: ‘What made you go back, 0 Messenger of Allah? He said: “I do not enter a well decorated house.” (Hasan)
