حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ أَتَی النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَکَلَّمَهُ فَجَعَلَ تُرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْکَ فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ بِمَلِکٍ إِنَّمَا أَنَا ابْنُ امْرَأَةٍ تَأْکُلُ الْقَدِيدَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ إِسْمَعِيلُ وَحْدَهُ وَصَلَهُ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3312
It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ud said: "A man came to the Prophet , so he spoke to him, and he started to tremble with awe. He said to him: 'Take it easy. I am not a king; I am just a man whose mother ate dried meat.": (Da'if) Abu 'Abdullah said: "lsma'fl alone has narrated (this Hadithh) with a complete chain of narrators.
