حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ حَکِيمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَعِنْدَهُ هَذَا الدُّبَّائُ فَقُلْتُ أَيُّ شَيْئٍ هَذَا قَالَ هَذَا الْقَرْعُ هُوَ الدُّبَّائُ نُکْثِرُ بِهِ طَعَامَنَا
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3304
It was narrated from Hakim bin Jabir that his father said: "I entered upon the Prophet in his house, and he had some of this gourd. I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'This is Qar'; it is Dubba'. We augment our food with."
