حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَلْقَی الْبَحْرُ أَوْ جَزَرَ عَنْهُ فَکُلُوهُ وَمَا مَاتَ فِيهِ فَطَفَا فَلَا تَأْکُلُوه
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3247
It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah said: “Whatever the sea throws out or is left behind when the tide ebbs, eat it, but whatever rises to the surface, do not eat it.”
