حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَی الْمِصْرِيَّانِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ نَبِيًّا مِنْ الْأَنْبِيَائِ قَرَصَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ فَأَمَرَ بِقَرْيَةِ النَّمْلِ فَأُحْرِقَتْ فَأَوْحَی اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ فِي أَنْ قَرَصَتْکَ نَمْلَةٌ أَهْلَکْتَ أُمَّةً مِنْ الْأُمَمِ تُسَبِّحُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ قَرَصَتْ

It was narrated from ‘Abu Hurairah that the Prophet of Allah said: “One of the Prophets was bitten by an ant, so he ordered that the ant colony be burned. Then Allah revealed to him: ‘Because one ant bit you, you destroy one of the nations that glorify Allah?’” Another chain with similar wording, and he said (in the beginning): “(An ant) bit…”
