حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ حَکِيمٍ وَحَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ح و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَکِيعٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الرُّمَّانِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ هُوَ يَحْيَی بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ يُقْسِمُ لَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي هَؤُلَائِ الرَّهْطِ السِّتَّةِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ فَالَّذِينَ کَفَرُوا قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِنْ نَارٍ إِلَی قَوْلِهِ الْحَرِيقِ فِي حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَعُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَعُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَشَيْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي الْحُجَجِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2835
It was narrated that Qais bin "Ubad said: "I heard Abu Dharr swearing that these Verses were revealed concerning those six people on the Day of Badr: 'These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord."! to the words "Verilf' Allah does what He wills.' I (that is) Hamzah bin ' Abdul-Muttalib, 'Ali bin Abi Talib, 'Ubaidah bin AIHarith, 'Utbah bin Rab iah, Shaibah bin Rabi'ah and AI-Walid bin 'Utbah. They argued with one another on the Day of Badr.' (Sahih)
