حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْکَدِرِ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ مَرِضْتُ فَأَتَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُنِي هُوَ وَأَبُو بَکْرٍ مَعَهُ وَهُمَا مَاشِيَانِ وَقَدْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيَّ فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَبَّ عَلَيَّ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ کَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ کَيْفَ أَقْضِي فِي مَالِي حَتَّی نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمِيرَاثِ فِي آخِرِ النِّسَائِ وَإِنْ کَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ کَلَالَةً وَ يَسْتَفْتُونَکَ قُلْ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيکُمْ فِي الْکَلَالَةِ الْآيَةَ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2728
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Munkadir that he heard Jâbir bin ‘Abdullâh say: “I fell sick and the Messenger of Allah came to visit me, he and Abu Bakr with him, and they came walking. I had lost consciousness, so the Messenger of Allah performed ablution and poured some of the water of his ablution over me. I said: ‘0 Messenger of Allah, what should I do? How should I decide about my wealth?’ Until the Verse of inheritance was revealed at the end of An-Nisã’: “If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question has left neither ascendants nor descendants.” And: “They ask you for a legal verdict. Say: ‘Allah directs (thus) about those who leave neither descendants nor ascendants as heirs.''' (Sahih)
