حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ کَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْجُمَحِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَکَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ سَتَرَ عَوْرَةَ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ سَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ کَشَفَ عَوْرَةَ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ کَشَفَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ حَتَّی يَفْضَحَهُ بِهَا فِي بَيْتِهِ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2546
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said: "Whoever conceals the (hidden) fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever exposes the fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will expose his faults, until (so that) He shames him, due to it, in his (own) house."
