حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ أَکْرَی الْأَرْضَ عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ عَلَی الثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ فَهُوَ يُعْمَلُ بِهِ إِلَی يَوْمِکَ هَذَا
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2463
It was narrated from Tawus that Mu'adh bin Jabal leased some land during the time of the Messenger of Allah , Abu Bakr, "Umar and 'Uthman, in return for one third or one fourth (of the yield), and he was still doing that until this day of yours.
