حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ خَالِهِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ کَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ وَکُنْتُ أُحِبُّهَا وَکَانَ أَبِي يُبْغِضُهَا فَذَکَرَ ذَلِکَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَطَلَّقْتُهَا

ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2088

It was narrated from Umin ‘Atiyyah that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘No deceased person should be mourned for more than three days, except a woman should mourn for her husband for four months and ten days, and she should not wear dyed clothes, except for a garment of ‘Mb, and she should not wear kohl or perfume, except at the beginning of her purity)’ when she may apply a little Qust and Azffir.’”121 (Sahih)
