حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ فَيَعْدِلُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا فِعْلِي فِيمَا أَمْلِکُ فَلَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِکُ وَلَا أَمْلِکُ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1971
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H used to divide his time equally among his wives, then he would '0 Allah, this is what I am doing with regard to that which is within my control, so do not hold me accountable for that which is under Your control and is beyond my control" (Sahih)
