حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَتَزَوَّجْتَ يَا جَابِرُ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَبِکْرًا أَوْ ثَيِّبًا قُلْتُ ثَيِّبًا قَالَ فَهَلَّا بِکْرًا تُلَاعِبُهَا قُلْتُ کُنَّ لِي أَخَوَاتٌ فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُنَّ قَالَ فَذَاکَ إِذَنْ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1860
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "I married a woman during the time of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H, then I met the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H and he said: 'Have you got married, a jabir?' I said: 'Yes: He said: 'To a virgin or to a previously-married woman?' I said: 'A previouslymarried woman: He said: 'Why not a virgin so you could play with her?' I said: I have sisters and I did not want her to create trouble between them and me: He said: 'That is better then:" (Sahih)
