حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فَجَائَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ فَقَالَ أَلَمْ أَنْهَکَ عَنْ هَذَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَکَ عَنْ هَذَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَکَ عَنْ هَذَا فَانْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَزَبَرَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ إِنَّکَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا بِهَا نَادٍ أَکْثَرُ مِنِّي فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَوَاللَّهِ لَوْ دَعَا نَادِيَهُ لَأَخَذَتْهُ زَبَانِيَةُ اللَّهِ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ وَفِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
جامع ترمذی · Hadith 3349
Ibn Abbas narrated: “The Prophet was performing Salat when Abu Jahl came to him and said: ‘Have I not forbidden you from this? Have I not forbidden you from this? Have I not forbidden you from this?’ The Prophet turned and scolded him. So Abu Jahl said: ‘You know that no one has more to call for assistance than me.’ So Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, revealed: Then let him call upon his council. We will call out the guards of Hell.” So Ibn Abbas said: “By Allah, if he had called his council, then the guards of Hell would have seized him.”
