أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَکَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَی فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَی جِبْرِيلَ وَلَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ
جامع ترمذی · Hadith 3277
Narrated Ash-Shaibani: I asked Zirr bin Hubaish about the saying of Allah the Might and Sublime: And was a distance of two bow lengths or less (53:9). So he said: 'Ibn Mas'ud informed me that the Prophet (ﷺ) saw Jibra'il, and he had six-hundred wings.'
