حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُکُمْ إِلَی الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ الْحَصَی فَإِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ تُوَاجِهُهُ

Abu Dharr narrated that : the Prophet (S) said: When one of you stands for Salat then he should not smoothen the pebbles, for indeed it is mercy that he is facing.
