حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ کَانَ يَصُومُ أَشْهُرَ الْحُرُمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُمْ شَوَّالًا فَتَرَکَ أَشْهُرَ الْحُرُمِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَزَلْ يَصُومُ شَوَّالًا حَتَّی مَاتَ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1744
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Ibrahim that Usamah bin Zaid used to fast the sacred months. The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said to him: "Fast Shawwal." So he forsook the "sacred months and he continued to fast Shawwal until he died. (Da'if)
