حَدَّثَنَا کَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي بَکْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسًا رُکْبَانًا عَلَی دَوَابِّهِمْ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَسْتَحْيُونَ أَنَّ مَلَائِکَةَ اللَّهِ يَمْشُونَ عَلَی أَقْدَامِهِمْ وَأَنْتُمْ رُکْبَانٌ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1480
It was narrated that Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H saw some people riding on their animals in a funeral (procession). He said:'Do you not feel ashamed that the angels of Allah are walking on foot and you are riding?'" (Da'if)
