حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ کَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَکْوَعِ أَنَّهُ کَانَ يَأْتِي إِلَی سُبْحَةِ الضُّحَی فَيَعْمِدُ إِلَی الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ دُونَ الْمُصْحَفِ فَيُصَلِّ قَرِيبًا مِنْهَا فَأَقُولُ لَهُ أَلَا تُصَلِّي هَا هُنَا وَأُشِيرُ إِلَی بَعْضِ نَوَاحِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَقُولُ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَحَرَّی هَذَا الْمُقَامَ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1430
It was narrated from Yazid bin Abu 'Ubaid that Salamah bin Al-Akwa' used to offer the Dulta prayer, and he would come to the pillar that was near the Mushaf. I said to him: "Why do you not pray over there?" And l pointed to some comer of the Masjid. He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah seeking out this place." (Sahih)
