حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ خَرَجَ عُمَرُ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَی أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ بِأَيِّ شَيْئٍ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ قَالَ بِقَافْ وَاقْتَرَبَتْ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 1282
It was narrated that Ubaidullah, bin ‘Abdullâh said: Umar went out on the day of Eid and sent word to Abu Wâqid Al-Laithi asking what the Prophet P.B.U.H used to recite on this day. He said: ‘Qaf and ‘Iqtarabat.’“ (Sahih)
