حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شُجَّ فِي وَجْهِهِ وَکُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ وَرُمِيَ رَمْيَةً عَلَی کَتِفِهِ فَجَعَلَ الدَّمُ يَسِيلُ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُهُ وَيَقُولُ کَيْفَ تُفْلِحُ أُمَّةٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَی اللَّهِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَی لَيْسَ لَکَ مِنْ الْأَمْرِ شَيْئٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ سَمِعْت عَبْدَ بْنَ حُمَيْدٍ يَقُولُ غَلِطَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ فِي هَذَا قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
جامع ترمذی · Hadith 3003
Narrated Anas: The face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was wounded, his incisors were broken, and he was struck by an arrow on his shoulder. While blood was flowing over his face and he was wiping it, he said: 'How can a nation succeed while they are doing this to their Prophet and he is calling them to Allah?' So Allah, Most High revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punishes them; verily they are the wrongdoers (3:128).
