حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيکٌ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ جَالَسْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَکْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ فَکَانَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَتَنَاشَدُونَ الشِّعْرَ وَيَتَذَاکَرُونَ أَشْيَائَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهُوَ سَاکِتٌ فَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ مَعَهُمْ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ أَيْضًا
جامع ترمذی · Hadith 2850
Narrated Jabir bin Samurah: I sat with the Prophet (ﷺ) more than one-hundred times. His Companions used to recite poetry and talk about things that occurred during Jahiliyyah, and he would remain silent, and sometimes he would smile along with them.
