حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَی أَخُو سُلَيْمٍ الْقَارِيُّ عَنْ الْحَکَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُؤَذِّنْ لَکُمْ خِيَارُکُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّکُمْ قُرَّاؤُکُمْ

ابن ماجہ · Hadith 726

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbâs said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘Let the best of you give the call to prayer (Adhan), and let those who are most versed in the Qur’an lead you in prayer.’” (Da’if)
